Originally from Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan, James has been a Chicago area resident for 25 years. He graduated from Art Center College of Design, Los Angeles, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. James has won several Merit Awards from the
New York Society of Illustrators, A Citation of Merit from the Chicago Artist Guild and Print Magazine Award of Design Excellence. He has exhibited at the Daley Center in Chicago, Point Gallery in Naperville, IL, Fieldstone Gallery in Door County, WI and had his art included in a Japanese National touring show.
James is also an official artist for the United States Air Force, traveling internationally with the purpose of recording the history of the Air Force.
James offers selected signed and numbered works for sale on the Art Mercantile page. Reproductions which are identified as using the Geclee print process incorporate archival pigmented inks on 100% cotton paper. This process allows the artist total quality control over each individual reproduction.
